Our Story

Who is behind the vision?

The Elements Collective was founded by Dr. Nara Yoon, PT, DPT, and Dr. Kate Bacigalupo, PT, DPT, who share a passion for making movement and wellness more accessible. Together, they recognized a gap in accessibility to quality movement coaching and education.. They created The Elements Collective to bridge this gap—offering a virtual coaching platform that empowers individuals through mindful movement, education, and self-led exploration. Their mission is to provide the tools, knowledge, and support needed for individuals to take control of their health, reconnect with their bodies, and move with confidence.

Where it all began

PhysioElements was founded by Nara Yoon, PT, DPT, out of a deep belief that physical therapy should be personal, empowering, and integrative — not rushed or cookie-cutter. After years of working in traditional outpatient settings, Nara saw firsthand how the typical model often left people feeling unheard and unsupported. She envisioned something different: a space where clients could receive one-on-one care in a calm, welcoming environment, with a team that takes the time to truly listen and address the root causes of pain and dysfunction.

From this vision, PhysioElements was born — a boutique physical therapy and Pilates studio where movement meets mindfulness, and where every person is treated as a whole, not just a diagnosis. Since opening, PhysioElements has grown into a trusted resource for people navigating spine related conditions such as scoliosis and spinal fusion, chronic pain, hypermobility, orthopedic issues, postpartum recovery, and more — offering a unique blend of hands-on therapy, Pilates-based rehabilitation, and movement education.

Today, our mission remains the same: to help people move better, feel stronger, and reclaim their quality of life through thoughtful, personalized care.

At PhysioElements, we’ve always believed that care should go beyond the walls of a clinic — that healing, movement, and connection are essential parts of everyday life. This belief is what led to the creation of The Elements Collective, an online wellness platform founded by our owner, Nara Yoon, PT, DPT, and longtime team member Kate Bacigalupo, PT, DPT. Together, they saw an opportunity to extend the PhysioElements mission into the virtual space, reaching people who need support no matter where they are.

How The Elements Collective and PhysioElements are Connected

At PhysioElements, we’ve always believed that care should go beyond the walls of a clinic — that healing, movement, and connection are essential parts of everyday life. We have always been interested in #whatmovesyou and helping clients connect the dots of their story. We wanted this concept to have an even bigger reach, and thus, The Elements Collective was born.

Rooted in the Same Philosophy

Both PhysioElements and The Elements Collective share the same core philosophy:

  • Personalized, holistic care that considers the whole person — mind and body.

  • A focus on connection and empowerment, helping individuals understand their bodies and advocate for themselves.

Bridging In-Person and Virtual Care

Many of our clients at PhysioElements are looking for ways to continue their care and stay connected between appointments. The Elements Collective allows them to do that — whether it's through virtual coaching, guided programs, or learning how to implement self-care techniques at home.

Likewise, members of The Elements Collective who may live outside our local area now have a trusted place to turn for in-person physical therapy and Pilates when they are in New York or when they need more hands-on support.

One Community, Two Ways to Connect

Whether you’re working with us in-person at PhysioElements or joining us virtually through The Elements Collective, you’re part of the same community — one that believes in empowering you to move better, feel better, and live fully.
